Kayley's Poem

I've tried to get the kids to tell me what they like about school (by your suggestion, Kim) but I can never get it on video.

Kayley has decided that she has gone to school too many days and it's time to stop. She's tired and so is Coley. So early to rise and sometimes late to bed. When we are able we've been putting them to bed at 7 and they sleep the entire night.

Although she has been tired, Kayley has been a genius at memorizing her poem last week and this week. Here's last weeks'. She's clearly enthused (and wearing her shirt backwards).

It makes a mama proud.

Cole never ceases to say and do things that make me laugh and today was no exception.

Cole: "Mom?"

Me: "Yes, Cole."

Cole: "If I had a anchor on would it rip off my privates?"

Me: "Hahahahahaha!"

Haha, Cole's such a butthead. I loves it. You should tell him that if he doesn't listen to you, his privates will fall off. (I'm gonna make an excellent parent, btw.)

I also loves how Kayley looks like she's gonna bust a cap in your a if you don't leave her alone. "It's been two days!"

Charisse has to do the poem thing, too. She memorized the pledge of allegience for this week, which she already knew from preschool. I think they do poetry together on Fridays...

Why does Kayley hate memorizing poems? She did a good job remember her last one even if it had been 2 days. She's a smart one. Did you tell Cole that it would rip his privates off?

She doesn't hate them, she just hated it when I wanted her to do it on camera. And no, I just ignored the question. Sometimes the subject has to be ignored, lest it come up again.
