Random Thoughts

This entry was supposed to be Ten on Tuesday but I slacked off and forgot about it. So today it's my random thoughts.

Cole was sitting on the potty this morning and after going number two dropped the nail clippers into the toilet. After much labor I ended up having to put a ziploc bag over my hand and go diving. Seriously not a good start to the day. I'm sure it will be funny later on.

Kayley was playing the harmonica on the potty the other day. Cole calls it a ganonica. That's definitely up there with fimform (Fillmore) and beguskusting (disgusting).

My birthday is next Monday! I'll be a quarter of a century.

I might start watching Matthew four days a week. He's walking now! He'll be one on August 8th. I didn't realize he and Peyton were so close in age.

I really like my parents new condo.

Cole loves everything about Tyler right now. It's funny how he's made the switch from being a total mommas boy to wanting to be wherever Tyler is at. Yesterday I sent both boys to the store to do the big grocery shop. Such big helpers.

Kayley set out Cole's toothbrush (with toothpaste on it), his floss and a rinsing cup and told me she did it because she loves him. Isn't that sweet?

I have to go shopping for Kayley's school supplies soon. I'm not telling Kayley that school is starting until like three days before. She'll bite her fingernails and all the skin off around them if I tell her now. She's so nervous about the change. I know she'll love it though.

I took this video of the kids yesterday singing a song from VBS.

We made rice krispie treats last night. Mm mm good.

Cole's tan line is awesome. He's such a little brown bear.

I hate that the weather turned all crappy in the morning, then clears by the afternoon. I want to wake up to the sun!

Real Funny Guys

So here's my story.
I love my bike. I love my basket. I took off. My chain fell off. I ruined my nail polish putting it back on. I cruise. I wait for the light to change. I get hit by a white Ford Focus wagon. We had car to skin contact. My wrist and foot hurt. My bike is bent. I tell her "I had a green light!" almost in tears. She gives me her name, address and phone number. I call Tyler in tears. He expresses his irritation at all the people on the planet who can't seem to pay attention while they're driving. I make it safely to my destination. I secretly hope that I can have a small injury worthy of some sort of settlement. Haha.
That's my story.

Ten On Tuesday

1. Hurray for no more cast! Kayley's foot is healed but she still has to be careful for another two weeks.

2. It takes too much brain power to do Not Me's! so I'm boycotting.

3. I've been way overly emotional this week. So sad for Tyler.

4. Kayley and Cole can both swim now. They get better each time we go to the pool.

5. My parents are moving into a condo on Saturday. I've been helping clean the house and Tyler cleaned all the windows. Man, we're so tired. When does life slow down? It seems as the kids get bigger we have more places to go and more to do!

6. I need to get back on track with my eating. It's so easy to lose control and gain three pounds that clearly show around the middle.

7. I'm so excited for Kim and Peyton and Lindsay and Hunter to come!

8. Kayley was so obnoxious at the doctor yesterday. She kept leaning forward on the exam table and hissing at me. So rambunctious, so five.

9. Cole got into my bra drawer yesterday and rubbed one with his hand and said "these are so comfy mom. It's a bra!"

10. Tyler made this awsome Kinex gigantic roller coaster thing that the kids love to watch go. It took him four hours to build!

Cole thought every time it came to the top his blowing would help the cars go up and over. Silly kid.

Summer Haircut

Cole has been waking up with a very sweaty head so we decided to do something about it. His hair grows so fast so it'll be back to normal soon I'm sure. I forgot he has that raspberry on his head until now!

(We struggled to get a good picture. The laundry basket was way more fun than my picture taking!)

Ten On Tuesday

1. I'm making friendship bread today. Tasty!

2. Cole has reverted in his potty training since vacation.

3. I wish to go to the pool every day this summer.

4. 7 days till Kayley gets her cast off.

5. It's almost the middle of the month which means it's almost Lindsay's birthday and almost Kim's birthday and almost my birthday and almost Peyton's birthday and almost Zoe's birthday (she's my soon to be niece, due on the 9th of August)!

6. Tyler and I are doing Ab Ripper X or somesing three days a week and it is truly a killer.

7. Since the kids have VBS I only have two kids this morning and Chelsie is coming over with just Katelyn because Ash is at Disneyland for her 5th birthday!

8. I wish I had fun pictures to show you. But I don't.

9. I think about Idaho every day and so does Tyler. Someday, somehow...

10. Cole: "I wanna have a baby."

Me: "Oh, I don't know if mommy's going to have another baby."

Cole: "No, I'm going to have the baby in my belly."

Me: "Honey, only mom's can have babies, that's how God made us."

Cole: "Well, when the baby comes it's going to poop and I'm going to wipe it on my shirt."

Me: "Ew Cole."

Cole: Does his loud bad guy laugh.

What a weirdo. Wonder where he gets it from.

Not Me! Monday

Italic

Monday is here! Check out MckMamas blog for things others didn't do this week.

I opened Cole's cup holder in his car seat this week to find two half-eaten chicken nuggets that were not from vacation a week ago and I also did not close it up and forget about them. And they are not still sitting in the car right now.

I did not let my kids go swimming two days in a row and let them go to bed without bathing or even rinsing for that matter.

I did not eat four yogurts yesterday because they were Yoplait Whips and they taste more like dessert than anything.

I have not consumed 800mg twice a day of ibuprofen all week due to my very sore foot. I will be making myself an appointment to see the doctor this week. Two weeks is a bit too long to be hurting.

While we were at the pool the last couple of days I've been trying to teach the kids to swim. Turns out Cole can fully doggy paddle under water to the side from the middle of the pool! I'm trying to teach him the right way but he won't do it. And Kayley is scared to death of the water without her lifejacket on. There is no way I carried her into the middle of the pool and laughed because her freakout was so ridiculous. Ashley could confirm the screams. I would never wait too long to teach her to swim. Not me!

There is also no way Tyler was going under water and shooting me into the air from his shoulders. And I would never stand on his head or push him down into the water for prolonged periods of time. I never play in the pool.

I did not snap this picture of Katie right after her nap because I thought it would be really funny. I laughed out loud. She just glared at me.

In forty something days I will not be the mother of a kindergartner at Mound School.

MPact Graduation

Kayley graduated from Rainbows and will continue on to Daisies. Cole is still in Rainbows and will be until he's five when he'll move up to Royal Rangers. They had a little ceremony a couple of weeks ago for all the kids who were moving up and for those who earned badges. By the way, MPact is the new name for Missionettes.

Mrs. Prinzing talking about Cole. He got all cutesy as soon as he got up there:)

I'm not sure what they're doing!

More Pictures

Here are the ones that would not load from yesterday.

Can you imagine sleeping 8 hours like this?

After seeing how many pictures I took I'm irritated that I didn't take more. We went on the boat, swimming in the lake, to the water park and on a quad ride too! Like I said, I'll post 'em when I get 'em.

Vacation and Pictures

Whew! What a trip! We had a blast. It was our first time traveling that far with two kids. Our kids slept 8 hours at night in the car both there and back. Tyler and I were both sad to leave. Life is always so great without the responsibilities of home.

One lesson has been learned: there is no true vacation with small children! Ha! We are now settling back into life and I'm currently blogging while trying to get Cole to lay down for a nap. He only took a couple of naps while we were gone and I figured it would be a battle. He's going to go to gymnastics today with my mom so he needs rest!

Uncle Ed and Jeff both took pictures with their fancy and expensive cameras so when I get those pictures I will post them. For some reason it would not let me upload any more pictures. These are the middle to the end of the trip. I will try again tonight or tomorrow. Sorry the picture quality isn't that great.

Vacation Update

Yesterday we went to Silverwood. It's a theme park and water park and it was so much fun! The kids loved the water slides and the wave pool and the giant soft serve ice cream cones! Tyler is going on a long motorcycle ride with Uncle Ed today and the kids and I are going to find a park for the kids to play. I somehow injured my foot a few days ago and it's very painful to walk on. I am still having an awesome time and I will be sad to leave on Sunday.
p.s. We are seriously considering buying land up here one day. It's so beautiful!
