Great News:
Tax season is over and I can finally breathe again! Many thanks to my crazy cool new friend and back up receptionist, Taylor, who helped me through this tax season! I seriously could not have done it without her. This year was definitely more stressful than last due to me taking on more responsibilities and our office going paperless. Thankfully my tax season bonus allowed us to make a dent in the pay off of some debt! I also got to have some much needed girly time on my day off at CPK (margaritas, woo!) and then we did some shopping at the mall. Then dinner with my hubby at Wood Ranch was a really nice way to end the madness that was the last few months.
Hubby News:
Tyler got the news on Friday that he passed his security clearance at work! This means he will be working on antennas that have secret radio frequencies and other things of that nature. It's all totally over my head but right up his alley! We are so thankful for his job and the opportunity for lots of overtime while we pay off debt. I honestly have to say that I have been less than gracious while he works overtime, though. So I publicly declare that I will be more supportive this week than last. :)
All ready for the clean room at Dad's work!
Fat News:
I hate to admit it but I've been totally out of control with my eating the last month or so. I don't know why, but the whole office gets stuck in this attitude of "oh, it's tax season, eat what you want and change things later." So, sadly, I've packed on five pounds. It's my own dang fault, too. Curse you tasty treats! Time to get crackin' on losing the ugly that made a home around my middle.
Offspring News:
The kids are great! I love them to death. Cole is a constant chatterbug and is doing much better at school and Kayley has admitted to liking her first boy and hates having her hair brushed.
Homestead News...Threefold:
1. We got a second fridge. It has an ice maker!
2. Our kitchen is continuously invaded by ants. Every time I set a trap they come, go away and then come back in a different spot.
3. I love my house cleaning friends, Delia and Maria. Sometimes they move my stuff into weird places.
Emotional News:
I've been through a whole lot in the last few years. I think I've grown in who I am as a child of God, as a wife and as a mom. But I still struggle so much with certain aspects of my life. I feel as thought there will be parts of me that will never, ever heal or be healthy. How on earth does God work on this person who has so many broken parts?
Final News:
I'm going to bed now. Blogging is exhausting!
