Ten Today

1. It's Wednesday! We're about seven hours from our vacation destination. The trip has been very smoothe so far. The kids have been great and the pup is a little stressed but doing fine.

2. I had them measure my body fat at the gym Monday night. I've gone from 33% to 26% in two years. 25% is normal for my height and age. I just want to be healthy and it's so nice to get some confirmation that my hard work is paying off.

3. I've been dreaming of getting a new setting for my wedding ring. This is one I like:

4. I lost another 1.2 pounds last week!

5. I don't have more fun things to blog about. I'm sure there will be lots to say after we get back!

Ten Today

1. I lost another .6 this week, bringing my total to 10.4 pounds off! Whoop whoop!

2. Carpooling to work has been really great. Kathrine and I have each been saving at least a tank of gas a month!

3. I bought my very first bikini. It doesn't look half bad, although it does reveal some back fat I never knew existed. Eh, whatev.

4. Less than a week until Vacation, yippee!

5. June 28th is open house at Coffee Bean. Honeydew and strawberries and cream ice blendeds are just a dollar. Honeydew sounds kinda gross but strawberries and cream will be delicious!

6. I went to the sale at Old Navy this morning. For $24 I scored a shirt for me, board shorts for Tyler, flip flops for both kids and shoes for Kayley. Ah, such an accomplishment.

7. Our dog is really doing well with her training. Tyler takes her out to the garage without a leash and she sticks with him. It's fabulous.

8. I've been getting headaches more and more frequently. Sometimes they are so bad I can't function. I need to make an appointment with the doctor to talk about it.

9. Speaking of the doctor, Tyler has a tendon in his leg that keeps getting caught on his metal plate. On Father's day it hurt him so bad. He's learned how to massage it and help it get unstuck. It sounds terrible, I can't understand how horrible it must feel!

10. Kayley asked my mom "Grandma, Adam and Eve really messed things up for the rest of us didn't they?" Ha, I love it.

Treasure

Yesterday I remembered that my Grandma Eve gave me a box of jewelry when I was a teenager. I hadn't really started wearing jewelry until a couple of years ago so the box didn't seem that interesting until now. Most of the stuff inside is costume jewelry but there was is one piece that looks real. My favorite of all of it was this bracelet and ring, which I wore to work today. I love being able to wear something that belonged to her! Thanks, Grandma!

Ten On Tuesday

1. Watching Mary Kate and Ashley movies are not my idea of a good time. My kids seem to like them though.

2. My dog chewed up one of my shoes on Saturday. I really hated her for a little while. But then she looked at me with those pathetic droopy eyes and I fell in love with her all over again. Blasted dog.

3. I'm so proud of my aunt Kathleen who graduated from UCSB on Sunday!

4. Last week we drove past Buena and firemen were giving CPR to a guy on the sidewalk. I have never seen someone do that in real life. It's scary and heart wrenching. Me and the kids prayed right there that if he didn't know Jesus that his life would be spared. I guess I'll never really know if he lived. Sigh.

5. I had this song on my blog a while ago. It's a song I love to go listen to when I'm having a hard time. Sometimes God can seem so far away from where I'm at. But I know He's there and He makes himself known to me. He's faithful!

6. Hooray for another weight loss this week. I'm soo close to ten pounds off!

7. This was Cole's creation for his boxcar parade a couple months back.

8. My mind has drawn a blank. I've got nothin' else.

Today is just not a good day for me. The dermatologist biopsied two moles last week and I've had an allergic reaction to the band aids. While it's getting better, it still iches and hurts like crazy, ugh. My body is tired and I'm real hungry, probably because I didn't eat lunch. Whoops. I'm irritable and would like to just go sleep. Oh Monday, why must you hate me so?

Movin' On Up

Cole graduated preschool today! He's officially a Kindergartner! He was very cute in the presentation, even if he did hide behind his friend Devon to hide from Anastasia Prinzing the whole time. Thanks to my parents and Krista for joining us in the celebration!

Monday

Well, after pretty much giving up on life yesterday I'm back in the game.

So anyway, I'm listening to The Lazy Song by Bruno Mars. It's really quite motivational. Yeah, right. See the contraption below? This is what motivates me. It also brings out the Monica in me. People are going to have labels on things they never thought could be labelable!

Besides label making I actually have some work to do today. But before I go, here's a picture of Miss Kayley at her field trip to the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.

Heeyyy

1. Grandma Jackie and Pop drove up last week for lunch. It was so nice to see them!!

2. Cole got a gash on his forehead from the fence at school yesterday. You know, one to match the other two. Poor little guy. Luckily Tyler was already planning on taking Kayley to the doctor. She woke up Wednesday night complaining of her ear hurting. Sure enough she's got an ear infection. She still has a very high fever, too. If you think of her say a prayer for her. She hit 104 tonight (we keep getting different readings from the thermometer, ugh). If it doesn't go down we're going to the ER.

3. I cannot believe it's June. School will be ending soon and summer begins!

4. Do you ever feel defeated before the day even starts? That's how I felt a couple days this week. I'm thankful for my job and God's provision. I really am. I just really would love Tyler to find a job that pays well, and is consistent.

5. I lost .4 pounds last week. This came as a surprise because I ate about three days worth of food on Monday. We had a fantastic BBQ with family. Tyler grilled some killer chicken and we had corn on the cob, biscuits, salad, fruit salad and yummy dessert.

6. My Aunt Kathleen sells Tupperware and she let my mom and I go through and take some of her giant supply. I am now the poster child for Tupperware. My refrigerator is a medley of orange, blue, green, yellow, purple, red and pink now! I think my favorite things are the cake/cupcake carrier and the chip and dip serving bowl. I also got sandwich keepers and little containers for fresh fruit. I hate how many zip lock baggies we go through for kids lunches so this will help the environment and our wallet. Awesome! Thanks Aunt K!

7. Saturday is Cole's last t-ball game. He's very excited about the pizza party afterward because he gets to have his trophy!

8. We're very excited that Cole's teacher will be Ms. Miller! She was also Kayley's Kindergarten teacher. We already know her and the classroom so we're thrilled! Only a week until Cole man's preschool graduation.

9. I signed the kids up for VBS during a week in July. I'm going to try and find one more for them to do over the summer.
