Ten On Thursday

1. Easter was so great. Time at church and with my family was wonderful. I didn't overstuff myself, plus I made a fantastic WW recipe for fresh strawberry pie. It was light but was made with real sugar. Yum!

2. I loved hangin' with Kim and the kids the last couple of weeks! I love, love them! One of my favorite times was when Krista, Kim, Joanna, Lindsay, Zach and Tommy and I all got together with all the kids at the park. I can't wait to see Joanna and Tommy's family picture with their new addition. Haha.

3. I didn't lose weight this week. I actually gained. I was very discouraged but I feel better today. I didn't dive into a bowl of ice cream or eat twelve thousand m&m's this time either, not that I would ever do that. And let me just say it's very annoying when one person in our WW group (or in any group) dominates the conversation.

4. Work has taken a dive from really busy to a pathetic lull. I've been taking a short walk every day at lunch just to keep my blood flowing.

5. Tyler drove up to have lunch with me yesterday. He makes my day brighter:)

6. I bought Hillsong's This Is Our God. My favorite song on the CD is Desert Song because of these words:

In all of my life

In every season

You are still God

And I have a reason to sing,

I have a reason to worship

It's the truth. No matter what season I'm going through there is always a reason to worship Him!!

7. Two weeks ago Pastor Bruce challenged us for 30 days to have someone keep us accountable when we say judgemental things about other people. I realized I let my mouth get carried away way too often.

8. Have any of my mom friends ever read any of the books in the What to Expect When You're Expecting series? Well, the lady who wrote it is definitely not one of our clients and she's not in Time magazine this month.

9. It's crazy weather today. I didn't have a clue it was hot until 4pm today when I finally went outside.

10. Gas prices are ridiculous so I'm going to carpool with a co-worker twice a week. Just doing my part to reduce our carbon footprint. Or maybe just save money :)

Ten Today

1. I'm late on my ten post, again.

2. Yesterday was a nice day off! I loved spending time with my friends and family.

3. Kim took our family pictures yesterday. I can't wait to get them back and redo my blog and put them up in the house!

4. Another weight loss this week!

5. I'm taking another day off today to get the carpets cleaned and to do some spring cleaning around the house. And guess what? I have the vacation time to do it! Hooray!

6. Kayley is very excited for her trip to the Getty museum today. Tyler is going, too!

7. I love this picture of my doggy. She was desiring Tyler's food.

8. I'm very excited to see my sister this weekend and spend Easter with my family.

9. Bones is a really great show.

10. I'm off to shower, have coffee with my mama and enjoy the day!

Telling you that I'm tired is an understatement.

Girls night on Friday was a blast! Kim, Krista, Lindsay and I went to BJ's for a pizookie (and a martini for me!). We spent lots of time laughing! Then we headed over to Krista's new place for some hot tub time. The water in her hot tub pretty much peeled the top layer of the skin on my legs off. Feels great. But it was fun! We spent a while after that looking at old pictures of us and reminiscing on the times where our conversation did not include breastfeeding and weight watchers.

Friday was also Kayley's very first sleepover. It was the Bible read-a-thon and they were raising money to buy talking Bibles and solar panels for villages in Africa. She told me that they didn't go to sleep until 12:45am!!

Yesterday I had to work. It wasn't fun but every second of it was overtime.

I have today to relax with my family and then it'll be a big day tomorrow then a full paid day off on Tuesday. I'm really looking forward to my bonus check, too!

Ten On Tuesday, Shorty Style

1. I'm short, so is this post.

2. 6 more days!

3. I cannot believe I actually lost weight this week. It wasn't much but I'll take it!

4. I loved seeing Kim and family this weekend. Noah is a chunker and Peyton is awesome. Cole really loves her.

5. I got my hair cut tonight. I'm now the proud owner of bangs.

6. Poor Kayley had ants in her bed last night. She had bad dreams all night long that swarms of ants were out to get her.

7. I'm having really bad allergies. Itchy eyes and a sore throat are no fun.

8. Cole and Kayley have made friends with the kids next door. They came knocking asking if they wanted to play today. I love having neighbors with kids!

9. I love that the weather is getting warmer. It reminds me that summer is coming soon.

10. A year ago today was Tyler's accident. He has been such a trooper. Here's hoping a praying for a full recovery this time next year!

Hello Monday.

TGIF

This has been a hard week at work. It's at this point where people start to worry or get upset and I get the brunt of it over the phone. It's part of my job description so I'm dealing with it but sometimes it just gets to be too much. I worked till 7:30 tonight and I'm just dead on my feet but my brain is spinning hence the need to blog. I still don't work as long or as late as most people at the office so I can't really complain.

Thankfully the possibility of a US Government shut down has allowed me to have my husband all weekend instead of this being his weekend away. Granted he doesn't get paid when he doesn't work but we're not hurting without it. I'm thankful to have my hubby home!

Ten On Tuesday, Breif Edition

..and I don't mean your underpants. Ha, ha. I'm so funny.

1. Tonight is weigh-in night. I lost weight!

2. Kim and company will be here so soon!

3. I've consumed more fruit and veggies in the last five weeks than I have in the last few years. True story.

4. Ten more days till tax season is over!

5. Hartley got spayed last week. No puppies for our pup.

6. I saw Rob Lowe for the second time today in Montecito. He is such a good looking man. Love him on Parks and Recreation.

7. I'm so excited that Krista got a new apartment!

8. I love the new Trader Joes and Bevmo.

9. We're watching Tosh.O and there's a guy who just tried to jump from the roof of his house into a trash can. What a dummy. And Tyler is laughing so hard it's hilarious!

10. I used to not like dark chocolate but now I do.
