Ten On Whatever Day I Want

1. Yesterday was one of those days where I had to cry myself to sleep. There was nothing else to do to relieve all the stress I was feeling. I wish you could be in my shoes just to see how truly mad it gets around the office at times. It's not that someone is bothering me or anything, it's just that I have so many things to do at once and realistically cannot accomplish them all in the time allotted.

2. I can't stand it when people eat tuna. I've requested that my co workers ask me first before consuming a tuna sandwich. It's not that I hate the taste, it's just that it makes the bread soggy and it smells bad. So eat up, humans, just don't do it around me. I do love cooked salmon though. Tyler cooks a nice honey glazed fillet and I grilled up mine with sea salt, pepper and lime juice. Yum! Today someone brought the office breakfast. It was bagels with lox. I took off the questionable looking salmon and ate the bagel with the cream cheese.

3. I changed my meeting date to Tuesdays for weight watchers so I weighed in last night at 5 days instead of 7. So, in case you were wondering if it works...it does! I lost 1.8 pounds in 5 days!

4. Tut, tut, looks like rain.

5. 23 days until women's retreat!!

6. I'm excited that Tyler might be going back to school! He'll be so good at whatever he chooses to do.

7. If you think of it, please pray for Tyler's healing in his leg. If it doesn't heal properly in the next couple of months there is a possibility of another surgery.

8. I miss my sister. I wish she would come see me.

9. Kayley brought home her lines from the play the first graders are putting on next month. She's very nervous about it. I hope she can get over the butterflies. I don't blame her though, I'm not one for public speaking. That reminds me, I need to invite my grandparents to come!

10. We got rid of our last car seat with a five point harness and our booster seat for the table. I have nothing left for little ones. It's sad, yet wonderful all at the same time!

I survived my first Weight Watchers meeting! It was actually pretty great. Lots of encouragement, great ideas and I think it will work for me! First I stepped on a scale and the only person who saw my weight was the person who printed out the little sticker with the date, time and my weight to put in my little book to track everything. I still haven't decided which day to go on though. I might try Tuesdays to see if I like the leader better.

Today is day four of the program. I find it easy to follow and really quite great. Tracking my food online helps me to understand how much I'm actually putting in my body. The foods I have been eating haven't necessarily been bad it's just the portion sizes were out of control. I'm excited to see the results at my next weigh in!

Weight Watchers

Watching my weight stinks. I hate that I go overboard some days and do really well on other days. I need a balance in my life. I've decided to join Weight Watchers, mostly for the accountability. I lost 40 pounds dieting and exercising alone and it was fine. I was self motivated and it totally worked. Now I'm sick and tired of working out, tired of having a hard time with the cookies in my kitchen and I need some help. I have 15 to 20 pounds left to lose. Here we go....again.

Ten On Tuesday, Run On Sentence Edition

Cole loves t-ball and skips instead of runs and Kayley lost her two front, top teeth and looks like a jack-o-lantern and says "s" like I say it with my retainer in and my work is now open during lunch making my lunch shorter and less relaxing and I've downloaded Words With Friends and it's awesome and I loved the 7 mile bike ride Tyler and I went on Sunday morning and there are 52 days till tax season is over, 31 days till women's retreat and I want to try a spinning class at the gym and I'm drinking a giant Diet Coke right now and I miss my family.

That about sums it up. Now that I read it all it's quite annoying, as it should be. :) It should also make Krista twitch, since English was her major.

Oh Saturday. I love you.

The kids are gone at Aunt Lisa and Uncle Greg's. It's so quiet in the house for a change and I'm enjoying it! Tyler and I went out for dinner at Panera Bread last night and then saw Unknown. It's a pretty good movie. I joked that we were livin' the crazy life staying up till 1am. Ha.

I'm excited for breakfast with Lindsay and little baby Gwen. Later on we're doing lunch with Grandpa Frank and just hangin' out together. We might take our pup to the beach if it's dry.

For now I'm enjoying Parks and Recreation. I think I'll go take Hartley for a walk.

P.s. I'm extremely annoyed that I'm not in Missouri or Alabama today. The sisterhood must unite soon.

Ten On Tuesday

1. Mr. Cole had some dental work done on Saturday. The dentist is way cooler when you can watch tv and they give you silly bands when you're done. He was such a trooper.

2. Kayley has been sick since Thursday. Whatever she has just will not quit. Poor thing. I let her go to Noah's party on Sunday and she pretty much just sat there next to me. She's back to school today with no fever, thank goodness!

3. My honey got me the perfect gift for Valentine's Day. He knows what I love!

My bosses got all the girls in the office flowers yesterday! Did I mention that I love where I work?

Anything is better heart shaped!

4. Our niece, Zoey. She's so cute but she doesn't hold still for more than three seconds. We'll find out if she's going to have a brother or a sister in the next week or so!

5. Hartley got her third set of shots yesterday, including rabies. That means she can be out on the grass and go to parks now!

6. Today is day one of no sweets, no candy, no chocolate, no desserts until May. Call me crazy but the "I'll just have one" concept doesn't work for me. Jen and I did something like this before and I know I can do it. It's for my health, my waistline and I know with tax season here people won't stop bringing the treats. So here I go.

7. My interior door handle in my car broke off completely. I'm ordering a new one today but until I get it I have to roll down the window and open it from the outside. It's awkward and embarrassing but better to replace a little part inside than have a problem with the engine or something.

8. This weekend is going to be kid free and fabulous!

9. We got our new table! It fits nicely in our dining room and I love it!

10. One of the small palm trees in the office had a branch that broke off. One of the guys taped the giant branch onto a pen and suggested that it be the pen we allow clients to use. You know, just in case someone tries to steal the pen. Yup, we're weirdos. Hilarious weirdos.

New Day, New Start

It's kind of early for me to be blogging but I have a spare moment so why not? Tyler left for drill which leaves me alone to get ready for work and getting the kids to school with dog underfoot. Should be interesting.

We went out to PF Chang's last night and it was fabuloso. The food was delicious as always and Tyler and I had a really nice time together. I was so stuffed I didn't eat dessert! Now that's a first!

This has been a hard week for me at work. I can feel tax season upon us, with multiple clients coming in and out and trying to do a million things at once. My job description consists of way more responsibilities than you might think. Anyway, my attitude has been bad. I'll admit I'd rather be somewhere else, especially when Cole started T-ball practice and I couldn't be there and Kayley had a field trip to the Post Office and I couldn't be there either.

God convicted me of being complacent. I have had it so much worse and He's brought me through so much. I think that whining only shows that I'm dissatisfied with my life and that's not my heart. While I wish I could have things differently and be there for the kids for every special event, I can't. Plain and simple. So the whining will stop today. Bring on a new start!

Wednesday, February 9, 2011

Ok, so I was a little distracted yesterday by my newest friend. I'm thinking a little more clearly now and I realized I do have lots to blog about.

Here's a video of the kids at Sky High Sports.

I love all seven and a half pounds of baby Gwen. I got to see her and hold her last night and this morning!

Ten Six On Tuesday

1. I'm so excited to meet my new baby friend, Gwennyth! She's beautiful!

2. Kayley lost tooth number four on Sunday. Her top middle teeth are both loose. She insists that the dentist will remove them tomorrow at her appointment.

3. Cole slept in his boxers like a man last night. He thought it was way cool.

4. My mind is blank.

5. Still blank.

6. I'm having the hardest time coming up with stuff. My kids are potty trained, they sleep through the night, they eat solid food and I'm not pregnant. What am I supposed to blog about???!!!

I don't care about football so I blog instead

This has been a lovely weekend.

I had some nice shopping time with Krista at Kohl's for some work clothes on Friday. I love Kohl's cash. It really makes me quite happy. As a side note, I would like to say how much I dislike shopping at the mall. There are not many good choices for work clothing. If I want to go out clubbin' (like I always do) or relax in my jeans and a t-shirt then sure, I could find something acceptable. Not so much for work clothing. And that's my story. I still want to go to Express in Santa Barbara or to the outlets in Camarillo. Anyway, there are worse problems in the world.

Saturday was full of me being annoyed by the dog. I do believe I hated her that day. She's real cute but sometimes a real pill. Luckily I got to go get my toes done with Lindsay and all was well. We also went to Barnes and Noble where I had the privilege of experiencing my first Groupon. I spent $10 for $20 worth. It was wonderful. I purchased a devotional called Be Still...and Let Your Nail Polish Dry. So far I'm enjoying it, especially because it's geared towards very busy moms. Love it. I noticed that when I'm in the habit of doing a devo I tend to be a more happy person, too.

We purchased a table on Saturday. We have been long overdue for a new one. The picture shows it with the 18 inch leaf.

We had a nice lunch with the family today and Kayley and I had some mommy and daughter time together this afternoon. Krista and I also paid for women's retreat today. I'm so excited to get away for the weekend! 47 more days, Krista!

Thursday

As I printed out the schedules today I was glad to see that my boss is out all day. This is, indeed, a pleasant surprise.

We started a new home group last night. I was surprised to find out that some friends are also a part of the same group. This brings some anxiety along with it and I have to admit I'm not doing a great job handling it at the moment. It's one of those things I just have to trust God about and I'm not really great at doing that.

On the bright side, Lindsay and I are getting our toes done on Saturday. Lindsay needs happy toes when she brings her little one into the world! Just a few more days until I can meet my new little Stachurski friend.

Happy Thursday!

I'm having a bad day.

I'm still in pain from my dental work and I dropped my Lean Cuisine on the floor and it got all over my work pants and pumps.

I managed to salvage the shoes, thank goodness. They're brand new. Cute huh?

I guess everyone has bad days. Today it's my turn.

Ten On Tuesday

1. I went to the dentist this morning. Three fillings and my mouth is happy. Actually it hurts but you know what I mean. Thank goodness for dental insurance! I have to see an orthodontist to fix my retainer though. My two front teeth are separating a bit. I guess I'll have to wear my retainer forever.

2. Macaroni Grill has a really great new menu. There are lots of low calorie options and some tasty veggies. I had the lasagna last night.

3. Hartley is doing well with traning. She's learning to sit and stay and not jump on people.

4. Kayley is old enough to legally be left in the car alone for a bit. When did my child grow up?

5. I love the show Parks and Recreation. It's great.

6. I'm slacking at getting a post done for Cole's party so I thought I'd do it here. He had his party before Kayley's. There were lots of little guys and gals, lots of fun play time, presents, pizza and cupcakes. Cole requested a special cupcake with Iron Man on it. We were very glad to have Lindsay, Zach and Hunter there, too!

Gotta love the booger picking!

7. We went out to dinner on their birthday and the kids each got a birthday sundae!

8. We finally got a new router so I can actually do blog posts from home.

9. The kids are going to Aunt Lisa and Uncle Greg's for a weekend this month! We're going to have a staycation! Yes, I'm a nerd.

10. I ate a Cadbury Cream Egg yesterday. It's funny that they're out already. It's just barely Febuary.
